My First Vacation Since Starting 'About An Acre'!

This entry is different from all the others - it is mostly about my very first adventure away from the farm since starting "About An Acre" ......

I was hesitant about leaving my farm babies as I planned my vacation through the beautiful mountains and up to coal-mining country....I knew that at some point though, I was gonna have to give in to some help. My friend, Ryan, had helped me at the farm several times throughout the year and was familiar with the goats, sheep, and chickens and I was sure that between Lauren and Ryan, they would make sure everything ran smoothly during my absence.....

Through the mountains and over the hills..............

......into the deep green and lush forest.....

....watercolor images of beauty that calmed me with each mile....as we run, run, run to the serenity of a past that I hadn't seen since I was a child.......

It was a wonderful trip with my mom and I was able to see family that I hadn't seen in over 20 years!!! I can't wait to do it again!!
