Friendsgiving
Today was really fantastic - Christian and I went to a friend of a friend's "Friendsgiving" celebration. I made my mac and cheese with kale that I borrowed from the Fabulous Beekman Boys! We met a lot of great new people and even saw some old familiar faces. The weather couldn't have been more perfect and the food was OFF THE CHAIN delish!
It was supposed to be a day full of rain and started out looking that way for sure - wet, gloomy, overcast....then around 10am, the clouds started breaking up and the sun started making its way through as I was heading out to the farm to let everyone out for the day. The lighting was perfect for pictures of my barnyard crew.....

The chickens were not at all into having their pictures taken today except for Aeon Clux, but she is just a weirdo anyway:
After the farm, I hurried home to whip up my dish to take to the Friendsgiving....
I forgot to get a picture of the finished product, because we were already crunched for time, but it was pretty and delicious! We all started off with mimosas.....mmmmm...
...then Tania gave an impromptu lesson on "How to Whistle With Your Fingers - 101".
After whistling class, we got into some fake tattoos....
We happened to spot this old lonely, rusted, wrought iron table on the lawn that need us to pay it some attention....
Friendsgiving was something totally new for us, but I loved the experience and I already can't wait until Friendsgiving 2014!!
