This week has been another good one... For all of you wondering, I guess now is the perfect time to explain my lack of posting daily (I haven't even had a 'what I wore' segment in over a month!!!)... I am REALLY close to having my DREAM property!! As you all know, I live in town and commute TWICE a day to my farm about ten miles away. I wasn't even looking for another place, let alone looking to BUY, but it has happened. The absolute perfect place presented itself to me and we have been proceeding with all the necessary steps to make this place our home where all the animals can be on the same property as us. I can't wait to wake up and have coffee on my back porch while watching my goats graze..... Baby cannot wait to live on the property where she can roam freely and play with the chickens whenever she pleases.... It is on a dirt road, not one neighbor in sight, and this morning I was out there with the home inspector for three and a half hours, AND NOT ONE SINGLE CAR DROVE BY. It is truly a dream come true..... It has mature peach, apple, pear, pecan, and walnut trees! The land has the most perfect garden spaces and pasture spaces on the 8.5 acre tract. The home is an old farmhouse from the early 1900s with two amazing porches, a loft, and outbuildings.
day 73:
I think this sums up this whole whirlwind of finding this perfect property...
day 74:
My Babycakes taking a nap while I was home for lunch.... It cracks me up the positions a dog can be comfortable in....
day 75:
Christian and I soaking up the beauty of the new place....
...the dirt road in front of our new house (yes, the other direction looks the same too!!)....
day 76:
Baby enjoying the freedom of no leash!
day 77:
I don't know what this is, but these bright violet beauties are everywhere in the pasture....
day 78:
I was explaining to Cuckoo that she needed to communicate to the other girls that we were all going to have a new home soon....
day 79:
I found this while the home inspector was in the crawl and got so excited (literally right outside the crawl door!).... I didn't realize he was close enough to the door to hear me as I said, "Oh my god!" He sounded a little panicked and said "What?!?" Oooops. I guess when you are in a tight confined crawl space with very little visibility, the words Oh my god are not really what you want to hear, but I explained my reason and apologized for the startle ;) It was a sign - a really good one, so I got a little excited...
