Saturday with my FARM-ily....

So..... here is the farm post, although not much is going on out at the farm aside from hanging out with the animals... I did not start a garden since I was planning a move, so all I have growing out there is a box full of herbs. Citrus mint, spicy oregano, peppermint, and heirloom oregano. I am beyond words when it comes to the big move to the new place! We have been busy packing up the house, showing it to potential renters, and feeling nostalgic about this old house... we have been here four years exactly! It will be an exciting and labor of love getting the farm all set up in Winterville! We have taken Baby out there to play and run almost every single day, so that when we make the last trip from the old house into the new (for good), she will already feel right at home - and one of the very first things I am gonna dive into immediately is putting up the fence so that I can get everyone home as soon as possible!!!  This is truly a dream come true - I still cannot believe that we BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!! Christian, me, & Baby should be all moved in about three weeks from now, and the rest of the crew should be over by mid June hopefully! I am going to build a new coop and figure out which field the goats are gonna start out in... but for now, here are some pics of all the happy critters from today! Enjoy!! For starters, this is a picture of our new driveway - doesn't it look.......... peaceful? I am super excited about the serenity this new place has to offer.
Hey there, Misty! What? Did I startle ya?
Look at how big Eli is. Such a strong and intimidating fella. Three years ago was the beginning of his new healthy life after being sick for so long. Check out how bad he looked just three years ago from THIS POST.
Milly just got a haircut... poor girl is the only one out here that ALWAYS has severe trouble with goat lice. Her little immune system is just so compromised from getting sick at such a young age, and anything that a goat can get, she gets it... My little special needs angel. I will pay whatever it takes to keep her healthy and happy. She is giving herself a good neck scratch here:
Ellen and her mama (Ellie) got into a head butting match this morning.... Ellen is a little stubborn bully and Ellie won't put up with it.
Misty's munching on some garden grass...
Milly was enjoying herself in the garden - she said it was hoof lickin' good!
Ellie was mad at me because I found out how she was getting into the garden and fixed the gap.... Look at this gal giving me the evil eye!
Eli doesn't understand why Ellie has to be so dramatic. He was expressing how he felt about the matter... yawwwwwn. Also, he DOES have teeth, I just am not sure where they disappeared to here....

Ellie was really letting me have it over the garden gap. Boy, did I get an earful!

You see that sheeps-wool in his horn? That is NOT from playing nicely.....
Forest said he is sure gonna miss his friends being out in the field when we move..... We will all miss ewe too, Forest!
Speckles is actually glad we are moving. She is kind of a recluse and is looking forward to some 'Speckles-time'.

I would have posted more of the chickens, but during the day they go far and wide in this warm weather looking for bugs and grub - Pancha will follow me around as long as I am out there though. She's turned into quite the lil chick companion!
Sweet Swirls.... gonna miss these kitties when I leave!!

Spooks and Mini hugging each other....
Why, hello! Mini came in for a rare close up this morning....

Good bye, sweet Milly! Take care of all the weeds in the garden for me today, OK?

Ahhhhhhh..... what a beautiful and peaceful day! I have to cherish these because soon my weekends will consist of very little downtime on the farm after the big move...
