It has been just over a year since I switched up the blog to reflect a broader view into my life. In addition to the posts about the animals, I added thrifting finds, 'worn' posts, cooking and baking posts, as well as a peek into my homelife. It has been fun getting to post about new things! In the upcoming year, I plan on adding a few new segments. One being 'tidbits" - a weekly segment of random pictures from throughout the day - which I am starting TODAY.. I will hopefully have more thrifting posts this year! Buying the house really put a damper on ALL spending - even the thrifty purchases!! I am still going to continue on with the Sweet Stuff Sundays, annnnnnnnd here is the first one of 2015!!
After Christmas, I started clearing out the woods in the back of the property....It all started with an itchy throat, some laryngitis, and a stuffy nose. I assumed I was just having an allergic reaction to something I was hacking at in the woods and kept on.... The next day was worse, but I was doubling up on vitamin C and making sure to drink lots of water... Then about a week later, I succumbed to modern medicine. Turned out I had a horrible sinus infection and the gave me a shot at the Doc-in the box, then sent me home with two different steroids, and an antibiotic. Whew! I am feeling MUCH better already!! The shot made me feel better almost instantly!

It has been the foggiest and rainiest Christmas/ New Years season ever!! Nasty and beautiful all at the same time...
I love these next two pictures of sweet Babycakes on our porch still adorned with the Christmas decor....
...while my cookies were baking, I tried to work on my goals for the next year....
...all while the Spirulina was pawing at the pen (^^^notice the paw?), the paper, my fingers, my coffee......
....and just maybe I finished off the dough with a spoon!
