Pancake Day!!

Damn! I had no idea.... Gonna give myself a raincheck on this holiday, though since I love pancakes and realized it was Pancake Day after all my meals were eaten today....

"Pancakes are associated with the day preceding Lent because they were a way to use up rich foods such as eggs, milk, and sugar, before the fasting season of the 40 days of Lent."

    Apparently there aren't enough Catholics in your life! Shrove Tuesday followed by Ash Wednesday, when all the cool kids got to walk around with ashes smeared on their foreheads. I've gone to mass just for the ashen cross. When you're 12, it's the closest you're getting to a tattoo.

    Bahahah! Christian grew up Catholic, and he dropped it about ten years ago....but pancake day?!?!?!?!?ohhhh yes please!
