Good morning.....arghhhh. While I was not ready for Monday to roll around so quickly, I must say that yesterday I did pretty much nothing. Yesterday was a 'bare minimum day' and I pretty much stayed either in the bed napping, soaking in the tub, or on the couch under a blanket. I NEVER do that, so it really is a rare indulgence and one that I truly appreciate when I do actually get to do it. I woke up feeling blah, so I decided I must need a day of nothing. I started the day off with little mini biscuits and maple syrup, then got all the animals situated for the day - topped off waters, doled out hay, and opened up the chicken coop for some free running..... then I snapped a few photos of the 'worn' segment for yesterday, but after that I was back in my pjs and under the covers by 9:30am! Now that I read what all I did BEFORE 9:30am, I am thinking I have a real problem trying to relax - bahahahah!
Honestly, I guess I should just say that I did NOTHING between the hours of 9:30am and 6:30pm yesterday.....
Honestly, I guess I should just say that I did NOTHING between the hours of 9:30am and 6:30pm yesterday.....
That being said, I had a lot of time to think about lots of things. It felt good to have no obligations and think....or dream.
I am gonna dedicate this Monday morning post to the things I absolutely love - because napping and lazing with Eddie and Christian is one of them, and I did a lot of that yesterday....
1. this.....
2. coffee.......
I had so much coffee yesterday, that I switched over to decaf as to not get the 'iron belly' feeling that goes along with drinking too much coffee...
3. thrfting.
I really made out like a bandit Saturday....
4. Taking photos of my four-leggeds out at my little slice....
5. Looking at old cookbooks...
6. Watching Eddie learn to enjoy toys and carrot treats.
Believe it or not, this is a new thing around here. He first got toys back in November, and he has shown a little interest here and there, but he has REALLY got the hang of playing with them now! The carrots, we have been trying to get him to eat since we first brought him here back in June, but he's just now started to actually eat them. Healthy snacks for the old man! Yay!
7. The way the sun comes in all the windows and lights up every room.....
I don't know that I could love my house any more than I do!
Well, happy Monday!
I'll be back this evening because Christian works late, and I am sure I will have something to share! Maybe I will let you in on my Saturday treasures and ideas I have for them!
