I walked out the door this morning and was immediately shaken awake at the sight of this 8 1/2 foot snake skin right in front of the gate... It was NOT there last night, so it was very fresh. I called my wildlife guy that has helped me in the past with sealing my home from the skunks, and he came out and assured me it was from a rat snake. Whew! I really don't mind these good natural rodent controllers, but DANG - that's a big one!
...then as I was on the road to work, this little fella was in the road. I stopped, picked him up and placed him where he was headed, which was across the road. Not too much traffic on the road, and he would have probably made it without my help, but I would have been crushed if I came home this eve and saw him smashed, and I didn't at least try to keep him safe....
....then I had the pleasure of having this little gal at work. This is Daisy. She loves attention. Can you tell? ha!
