...after working on the yard all afternoon, I decided to take a break and swing for a bit in the hammock - my favorite seat in the house!
...a friend gave me a bunch of potted plants before her big move across the country and these roses just popped open for the first time since I got them over a month ago...
..oooooooh. Lookie how pretty...... I am pretty sure the perfectly manicured lawn and the feeling of kicking my feet up and admiring at it is genetic. I come from a long line of folks taking pride in a good looking yard and the hard work that goes into it....
I had a dirt bead necklace after all that work, and I just happened to get this bar of pink Himalayan goat milk soap from the farmer's market Saturday morning.... it was the perfect blend of scrub and suds to get the grime off.
...then snuggles with this sweet boy.
...then this morning was time to unload this hay..... 14 bales.
...viola!
....and a fresh egg appeared in the afternoon which tipped me off to the fact that ol' Eli closed the girls out of the coop again...
Spirulina has enjoyed having Christian and I both at home an extra day. She has become quite the little attention seeker these days!
...a picture of my little garden fence. Just because the sunlight was hitting it jusssssssst right ;)
A couple of friends of ours came out with their blue-eyed cutie today.....
...Misty decided she was gonna find the stockpile of hay rather than graze.....
Rose and Hazel already spent the small paddock they were in after only a week, so I turned them back out in the big field. They begged. They got what they wanted...
ahhhhhhh. grassss at last!
...and on that note, I am off to mentally prepare for the work week. Why can't every weekend be a three dayer??
Happy Labor Day y'all!!
